As a teenager without a vaginal opening became pregnant: the study

In a medical abnormality, a teenage girl without vaginal openings became pregnant through oral sex.

A 15-year-old from Lesoto, a land trapped in the ground inside South Africa, was admitted to a hospital with symptoms of abdominal pain. Routine testing found that the patient was nine months pregnant.

More shocking than the surprise pregnancy was the discovery that the girl had no vaginal openings, a rare birth defect known as distal vaginal atresia.

The condition affects one in 10,000 to 15,000 newborn girls and is characterized by the failure of the vaginal plate to channel.

As a result of her distal vaginal atresia, the patient delivered her healthy son, 6.2 pounds through section C.

Medical experts were puzzled how someone without vaginal openings can create a child without access to in vitro fertilization.

The girl reported that in the months that led to birth, she noticed her body by changing the shape, but because she did not have a vaginal opening and thus did not get involved in vaginal penetrating sex, she “did not believe she was pregnant”.

In later interviews, the wonderful mother showed that she became aware that there was no vagina after “disappointing efforts for conventional relationships” that led her to prefer oral sex.

When it was questioned how she might have become pregnant, the young mother discovered that nine months before her birth in section C, she had stabbed her in the abdomen shortly after having sex over a partner.

At that time she believed in a nurse that her ex -boyfriend had violently attacked her when she found her in act with her current partner.

The medical team that followed the patient survived that the sperm she swallowed was transmitted to her reproductive organs through her stab wounds, resulting in an indirect and unexpected conception.

What makes this pregnancy even more shocking is that typically, stomach digestive acid is strong enough to quickly kill the sperm, making it inevitable.

However, the medical team believes that the sperm survived miraculously because the girl was malnourished at the time of the attack, thus reducing the levels of acidity in her digestive system and allowing the swallowing sperm to fertilize her uterus through her stab wounds.

The case, dating back to 1988, was detailed in the British Obstetrics & Gynecology newspaper.

The reappeared news follows a recent report of a Scottish woman, who thought she had an exploding appendix just to find out she was pregnant – and was born 40 minutes later.
